The KSeF 2.0 demo is now available. Companies can test e-invoices in conditions similar to those that will apply from February 2026.

The Ministry of Finance announced over the weekend that a demo version of the KSeF 2.0 Taxpayer Application was made available to users. From November 15, entrepreneurs can use the system in a pre-production environment, which reproduces conditions similar to those that will apply after the launch of KSeF from February 1, 2026. The test version already allows for issuing and receiving electronic invoices.

Demo version

The ministry explains that the KSeF 2.0 demo allows you to work on fictitious data on invoices, using real authentication data, such as NIP, consistent with the register of information about company owners. This is a significant change compared to the previous test version, which did not allow logging in using real data. Thanks to this, entrepreneurs can practice processes that will soon become everyday life.

The Ministry also emphasizes that the demo environment is a test environment and the target application may differ from the current version. The comments collected from users are to be used to optimize the operation of KSeF 2.0 before the production launch scheduled for February 1, 2026.

The provided application offers a wide range of functions. It allows you to issue, receive and view invoices and corrections in accordance with the FA(3) structure, search and download sent documents in XML, HTML or PDF format, as well as support complex identifiers in the EU self-invoicing model. The system also allows you to download the Official Confirmation of Receipt for single invoices or multiple documents, display session history, support QR codes and access to the invoice using such a code.

In the application you can generate and manage tokens (until December 31, 2026), use anonymous access to invoices, view documents issued offline, as well as visualize and download PEF invoices. Modules for managing authorizations and applying for and downloading certificates are also available.

KSeF will enter into force

Pursuant to the Act on the National e-Invoice System, from February 1, 2026, the obligation to issue invoices by KSeF will apply to companies whose sales in 2024 exceeded PLN 200 million. Smaller enterprises will be covered by this obligation from April 1, 2026. A transitional period is planned for micro-entrepreneurs – between April and December 2026, they will not have to use e-invoices if their monthly sales do not exceed PLN 10,000. PLN gross.

The entry into force of the KSeF also has tax consequences. The Act provides for shortening the basic VAT refund deadline from 60 to 40 days. The possibility of issuing invoices using cash registers will be maintained until the end of 2026, and the “offline24” mode will be permanently introduced, allowing you to issue invoices without access to the Internet, e.g. in the event of a network failure. Until the end of 2026, no penalties will be imposed for errors made when implementing the new regulations. Invoices are to be stored in KSeF for 10 years, which eliminates the need to print documents and manually enter them into accounting systems.

The Ministry of Finance estimates that thanks to the introduction of the KSeF and the tightening of VAT settlements, state budget revenues may increase by approximately PLN 10 billion within 10 years.
