Kosiniak-Kamysz to sign arms contracts. The amount is impressive

Today, an important event began at the Kielce fair – the XXXII International Defence Industry Exhibition – which will last until September 6. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz arrived in the Świętokrzyskie province in the early morning. – We will sign more contracts (arms – ed.) – he informed. A specific amount was given.
The contracts are to include the completion of the Narew and Wisła systems, as well as radar systems and investments with foreign partners. – These are also large contracts signed with the joint-stock company Rosomak, Jelcz SA or WB Electronics SA, i.e. with Polish public, state-owned, but also private companies – the minister noted.
The amount has been reduced
The Minister of National Defense announced that subsequent contracts will be worth approximately PLN 2 billion.
What will you be able to see at Targi Kielce? Among other things, armoured equipment, classic armaments, missile equipment and explosives, aviation and air defence armaments and equipment, chemical warfare equipment and materials, navy armaments and equipment, specialist police equipment, specialist Border Guard equipment, firefighting and rescue equipment, transport equipment (wheeled, tracked and floating), including for special purposes.
In addition, radioelectronic and optoelectronic equipment, communications and information technology, metrological devices, defence infrastructure devices and equipment, engineering equipment, food products and devices for preparing meals and storing and transporting food, uniform items, propellants and operating fluids, and their distribution and storage, medical equipment and materials, individual dressings and components, equipment and systems for protecting objects and people.
Record amount for defense in 2025. How much?
At the end of August, the money.pl service reported unofficially that the government had proposed that in the budget for 2025 – which was confirmed by several sources – defense spending be increased by 0.6 percentage points. This would mean 4.1% of GDP (gross domestic product). The editorial staff calculated that it would be approximately PLN 190 billion.
Indeed, as the Deputy Prime Minister announced, a record amount will be allocated for this purpose.
