Karol Nawrocki surprised on Easter Monday. The president showed off photos from the meeting with Mariusz Pudzianowski on social media. “Training with the strongest man in the world,” the president wrote.

Mariusz Pudzianowski also posted a report on joint sports competitions online. “A few days ago I had a unique opportunity to train with the President of Poland and I must admit – the guy really has character,” emphasized the eight-time Polish Champion and six-time European Strongman Champion.

“Even though we agreed not to push hard, he didn’t give up even for a moment, and the 150 kg on the bench went up like nothing! For someone who primarily trains boxing, this is a truly impressive result. Respect!” – emphasized Mariusz Pudzianowski.

The former strongman added that “during the training, he had the opportunity to exchange a few words with Karol Nawrocki and the conversation was not only about sports topics.”

“It turned out that we had a similar view on many issues. With such a leader who has his own opinion and does not bow to anyone, you really want to stand in one line. It was someone so determined that Poland needed,” said Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Later in the post, the athlete added that “it was nice to spend time together, do a good workout and see how energy and determination go hand in hand with character.”

Karol Nawrocki and the career of a bosker

Karol Nawrocki does not hide his passion for sports. In the past he trained boxing. In 2004, as a player of RKS Stoczniowiec, he won first place in the Zone Boxing Tournament for the Polish Cup for juniors in the 91 kg category. Later he was a player and captain of the Ex Siedlce Gdańsk football team. In 2010, he founded a martial arts section in the club.

The president is also a football fan, especially Lechia Gdańsk, the club from his hometown.
