Karol Nawrocki is a challenge for protection. Former Boron Boss: It shouldn’t take place

Karol Nawrocki na trybunie stadionu w Gdańsku

Unplanned column stop, Karol Nawrocki in the Belvedere window and “Mill” in the stands in Gdańsk. Only a few days have passed since the new president’s swearing in, and the protection already had his hands full in custom situations. – I am opposed to spontaneous action. We live in difficult times – emphasizes General Andrzej Pawlikowski, former BOR head in an interview with “Wprost”.

The presidency of Karol Nawrocki barely began, and there were already several spontaneous situations that could have been a challenge for protecting the head of state. And although the image of the president who does not avoid, and even strives for direct contact with Poles, will play in favor of the former president of the Institute of National Remembrance, questions about security issues arise.

Therefore, without diminishing how important it is to build relationships with citizens whose voices Karol Nawrocki became the successor of Andrzej Duda, you need to think about the form of contact with supporters, that demonstrative breaking with the role of the so -called The chandelier guard did not have undesirable consequences.

Sudden detention of the presidential column. “I am an opponent of spontaneous action”

The first test came on the day of sworn in, when after the ceremony in the Sejm, the head of state went to the Holy Mass in the Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist. At one point, the presidential column stopped near the Legia stadium, which was not announced in the official schedule of the ceremony. The president got out of the car and approached the group of his supporters who had white and red flags with him. He talked to them for a while and returned to the car.

– According to procedures that apply not only in Poland, but also in the world, in particular in the United States and Israel, spontaneous detention in places that have not been checked by officers of security services before, should not take place – says General Andrzej Pawlikowski, former head of the Government Protection Bureau and co -founder of the State Protection Service in an interview with “Wprost”.

– In this context, it is very important to introduce a protected person, in this case Karol Nawrocki, into new realities. I am referring to the interview of the Commander of the State Protection Service or the Chief of Direct Protection with the President about the rules of cooperation – adds the expert.

Gen. Pawlikowski also indicates how the decision -making process runs – from the spontaneous idea of stopping in an unplanned place to its implementation. He also analyzes how such situations complicate the challenge, which protection must meet.

– Each time it is possible whether it is possible to stop temporarily, the head of security or SOP officers decides. Life, however, writes their own scenarios, and politicians do not always follow this kind of commands or recommendations. Sometimes they wish and press to stop in a specific place, downplaying the potential risk. And it increases in a situation where the place of temporary stay has not been checked before. For this reason, it is not known whether there are people with bad intentions in the crowd who can have, for example, dangerous tools – analyzes our interlocutor.
