Karol Kłos has officially said goodbye to the Polish national team. The volleyball player, who has been playing in the team since 2009, posted a telling message on social media.

Although the final declaration has not been made, it seems that this is the perfect time to part ways with our heads held high and with recognition for Karol Kłos for how much he has given to the Polish national team over the years. The middle blocker is a multi-medalist, both in club and national team. He made a particularly noteworthy mark in 2014, when the Poles won the world championship and Kłos was chosen as one of the two best middle blocks of the entire tournament, confirming his great sports class.

The 34-year-old volleyball player comes from Warsaw, but has become a legend of PGE Skra Bełchatów. He played for this club from 2010-23, achieving the greatest successes. Now Kłos defends the colors of Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.

After participating in the XXI Hubert Wagner Memorial, the volleyball player published an eloquent message on social media.

“I gave/gave back what I had. Gentlemen – thank you and good luck. Kłosik out,” the middle one wrote on Instagram, embellishing the whole thing with photos right after the memorial in Krakow.

The reaction from teammates and fans was not long in coming. Kłos is an exceptional figure, very well-liked in the volleyball community.

“Love You. Wait for my call,” wrote Bartosz Kurek, captain of the national team.

“Thank you for everything, uncle,” added Tomasz Fornal, who received the Polish staff.

“It was a pure pleasure. Thank you very much for these few years of adventure together, fortunately most of it on the same side of the net,” added playmaker Grzegorz Łomacz, pointing out the plays that were spectacular in the duet with Kłos.

The tournament at Ergo Arena is the last test before the 2024 Olympic Games

The Polish national volleyball team will play two weekend matches to close the preparation period for the Olympic tournament. The Poles will play two matches at the Tri-City Ergo Arena, located on the border of Gdańsk and Sopot. On Saturday (July 20) they will play against Japan, and on Sunday (July 21) they will play against the USA. Two participants of the Olympic Games in Paris. Both matches will start at 7:30 p.m.

The first match of the Olympic tournament with the participation of the Polish national volleyball team will be on July 27. The White and Reds will open the tournament with Egypt, the match will start at 5:00 p.m.
