Kamil Stoch’s farewell gold! A great form of the Grand Master

Kamil Stoch

Kamil Stoch became the summer champion of Polish in ski jumping. I am talking about competition on the needle, the last in which the champion took off.

In the Friday competition, Kamil Stoch finished 129.5 and 128.5 meters.

The competition took place in Wisła. Silver individually fell to Aleksander Znamczoł, and bronze to Dawid Kubacki.

Kamil Stoch is the Polish champion! The last time on the needle

There is no doubt that Kamil Stoch – next to Adam Małysz and Wojciech Fortuna – is the largest jumper in the history of Polish ski jumping. What’s more, Stoch is one of the best in history, looking holistically at his achievements – during his rich career. And this has been going on continuously for over two decades.

In May this year, in an interview with Jacek Kurowski for TVP Sport, the three -time Olympic champion admitted that the upcoming season 2025/26 would be his last in a very rich career. I must admit that Stoch and the entire Polish national team, consisting mainly of experienced jumpers like Piotr Żyła or Dawid Kubacki, need a return to the right track. Who knows, maybe the new season with another trainer, i.e. Maciej Maciusiak, will be such a positive time.

Kamil Stoch ends his sports career. An outstanding path of a Pole!

The greatest successes in Stoch’s career must include, above all, pads achieved at the Olympic Games and successes in the World Cups. The jumper, who turned 38 on May 25, 2025, has three gold medals in his achievements (two from Sochi 2014 and one of Pyongyang 2018). In addition, the brown Zio in the team competition (2018).

Stoch won twice in the general classification of the World Cup. The legendary jumper won the crystal ball in the 2013/14 and 2017/18 seasons. In addition, the Pole was a winner in the Four Hills Tournament. Stoch reached for gold in the installments 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2020/21. It is also worth adding two gold medals of the World Cup. Stoch won in 2013 on a large hill in Val di Fiemme and team in Lahti, four years later (2017).
