In the first Saturday meeting at the Tauron Arena in Krakow, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel managed Bogdanka Luk Lublin in three sets. MVP The meetings were chosen Benjamin Toniutti, playmaker and captain of the team from Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie – JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel in the Polish Cup final
So the question remained who would join Tomasz Fornal and the company. It turned out that in the second semi -final it was without a surprise. The defenders of the title, i.e. Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, in three sets dealt with the PGE project Warsaw.
Varsovians from the party to the party were more and more pressed by the team of coach Michał Winiarski. In the end, however, it did not help much. Aluron CMC Warta had two point leaders – Bartosz Kwolka (in the past player of the club from Warsaw) and Karol Butryn. Interestingly, both volleyballers were not in the wide composition of the Polish national team for the League of Nations 2025. Nikola Grbić was of course present in the stands of the hall in Krakow and he could admire with the rest of the present how the duo of Jurassic knights looked.
On Sunday, the grand final of Tauron PP will take place, from 14:45 Aluron CMC Warta will play with JSW Jastrzębski Węgl. It will therefore be a replay of the last year’s final. In the case of PP it was 3: 1 for Zawiercie, in the PlusLiga finals (season 2023/24), Jastrzębianie were the top, and in the clash with Al-Ko Super Cup 3: 2 the team of Winiarski’s coach won. Well, it promises to be a strong volleyball battle at Wawel.
MVP Award of the match for Karol Butryn.
