Julia Szeremeta with an important confession. “I’m going back to various sports, but not boxing”
Julia Szeremeta is currently resting after a successful Olympic Games. She has just announced that boxing will not be her first sport to return to.
Julia Szeremeta stole the hearts of Polish fans during the Olympic Games in Paris. The 21-year-old boxer performed brilliantly in the competition of competitors in the up to 57 kg category. She reached the grand final, where she lost to Lin Yu-Ting. Despite everything, her result was perceived as a great achievement. Suffice it to say that she won the first Olympic boxing medal for Poland in 32 years and the first final since 1980.
Szremeta takes a break from boxing
After returning from Paris, Szeremeta has already appeared on many programs on the Internet and on television. She has become extremely popular in the country, because previously only fans of combat sports had heard of her. Even before the games, the young athlete promised that she would bring a medal from the capital of France and she kept her word. For her success, she received, among other things, an apartment and several financial prizes. This will help her in her further sports career.
Now she has admitted that she intends to take a break from boxing in the near future. She will soon return to sports, but it will not be her beloved discipline.
– I don’t have any training now, you could say I’m resting. Next week I’m going back to various sports, but not boxing. To acrobatics and pole dancing – said Julia Szeremeta on Polsat Sport.
Will Szeremeta fight in November?
It can be expected that the break from boxing in the case of our boxer will not last very long. All because it is possible that she will enter the ring in November. It is about a fight as part of Suzuki Boxing Night. Some time ago, the vice-president of the Polish Boxing Association Maciej Demel informed that the gala would be organized on November 23. It is very possible that it will take place in Lublin, a city with which the 21-year-old is strongly connected.
