Julia Szeremeta in “freak fights”? Adamek: It would be stupid if she refused

Tomasz Adamek recommends Julia Szeremeta’s freak fights

Szeremeta is planning to fight at one of the fights during Suzuki Boxing Night – at least that’s what the vice-president of the Polish Boxing Association says. The interested party herself can’t complain about offers from “freak fight” federations. The Olympic medalist has so far firmly rejected such offers, wanting to continue focusing on boxing and sports competition. In such a situation, Tomasz Adamek’s latest words seem quite surprising.

The former world boxing champion fought at the Fame MMA 22 gala a few days ago, defeating Kasjujsza “Don Kasjo” Życiński. Years ago, “Góral” swore that he would not fight in “freak fights”, but good financial offers did the trick. In an interview with WP SportoweFakty, Adamek stated that Szeremeta should also take advantage of the opportunities to earn good money.

– A career in sports is short and very uncertain, so if only the rules of amateur boxing do not exclude it, I think that Szremeta should not hesitate and fight in the cage at a freak-fight gala – said Adamek. – It would be stupid if she refused an offer 10 times higher than what she can earn in amateur boxing in the following years. I accepted such offers only after my sports career, but there are no contraindications to earning money in this way during it and in this way financing her preparation at the highest level – added the boxer.
