Ithaca launches an unusual direction. Volcanic islands in the Atlantic directly from Poland
The average temperature in July is 22 degrees Celsius, but this does not discourage tourists. In 2027, thanks to Ithaca, we will fly here directly from Poland.
The “Hawaii of Europe” has never been so close to Poland. Itaka announced that it will launch direct flights to the Azores in the summer 2027 season. We will fly by charter from Warsaw to Terceira, where we will take advantage of the offer of 4 and 5-star hotels. The tour operator has also prepared an offer of sightseeing tours that will allow you to discover this unique archipelago even more thoroughly.
From Poland to the Azores with Ithaca – start on June 15
From the summer of 2027, the Azores will join the destinations available from Poland in the direct charter formula. The Itaka travel agency will launch a connection from Warsaw to Terceira, and the first flights are scheduled for June 15. According to the Aviation Market, the flights will be operated by Smartwings until September 28, and tourists will be able to choose a stay of seven or fourteen nights. The offer includes five 4- and 5-star hotels, including facilities located by the ocean, near the capital of the island, Angra do Heroísmo. This is a big change for Polish tourists. “So far, the Azores were available mainly through scheduled flights,” says Piotr Henicz, president of Itaka.
Time for a vacation in a cooler climate
Terceira is intended to attract primarily people who, instead of high temperatures and typically resort-like relaxation, are looking for nature and a slower pace of travel. “In July, the average temperature here is approximately 22°C. The direction fits perfectly into the coolcation and slow travel trends,” writes Rynek Lotniczy.
Itaka has also prepared sightseeing tours that also allow you to see several other islands of the Portuguese archipelago, including: Faial, São Jorge and Pico. “The program included Angra do Heroísmo, Algar do Carvão, the Caldeira crater, the lunar landscape of Capelinhos, the cliffs of São Jorge and the Pico vineyards,” we read. Itaka also encourages its customers to explore the islands by rented car thanks to the Fly & Drive formula.
