It can be 18. Object on the UNESCO list in Poland. “Reason to be proud”

The unique monument Ciechocinek is getting closer to the UNESCO list. The salt brewing team met the criteria necessary to be on it.
Ciechocinek is undoubtedly the most famous spa in Poland. Although he has recently been accompanied by controversy due to the plan to build a biogas plant, at the same time the authorities are trying to enter his valuable monument on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and thus increase the prestige of the village.
Ciechocinek closer to the UNESCO list
On April 17, the city announced that the complex of the historic saline breeding mill in Ciechocinek was officially recognized as an object with a unique universal value, meeting the criteria for the entry on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The information was provided to the city authorities by Bożena Żelazna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
The mayor of Ciechocinek pointed out that this is “a historical moment and a great reason to be proud.”
“Salt brewing room is the heart of the spa tradition of Ciechocinek, a symbol of our identity and heritage. The fact that it has been appreciated at the national level and indicated as a UNESCO candidate opens up new opportunities for development, promotion and protection of this unique place. Now we have hard work to prove this uniqueness before the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is based in Paris,” which is in Paris. ” – Jarosław Jucewicz shouted.
Biogas plant in the spa. What next?
The entry on such a prestigious list for many residents was contrary to the plan to build a biogas plant in a spa. They were afraid not only about image issues, but also a state of air.
The mayor was asked by Kujawy-pomorze.info about the continuation of investment. Apparently the case is not a foregone conclusion.
“The technology we want to use consists in smashing sediments in the anaerobic process and degassing, and it is known that the odor of the degas and not worse is completely different. (…) Another thing is that today we are not really talking about a building permit, but about the verification stage, whether it is environmentally possible to execute, without damaging the image of the city, or the monument.”
