Investments that bring effect. How the face of cities and villages changes
Having almost 7 decades of experience, Totalizator Sportowy due to subsidies to the Physical Culture Development Fund is a causative factor for the development of sports infrastructure. And in almost the whole country.
It is hardly surprising, since in 1955 it is for this purpose that the initiative to create a sports Totalizator was created. The reconstruction of sports and recreation infrastructure in difficult, post-war times was to breathe a new spirit in the nation. As history has shown, it was one of the very important elements that make up a successful return to the normality of Polish society. Although, as it happens in everyday life, there are always needs, so in this respect the presence of a sports Totalizator is invaluable.
Thousands of fields, halls, stadiums – in big cities and in the countryside
Just look at the official website of Totalizator Sportowy to understand how wide the scope of co -financing of sports facilities by the company is. This is best seen on the specially prepared map of Poland, where you can exactly trace what it looked like over the years.
Only pointing to the period 1994-2024 Totalizator Sportowy donated PLN 18 billion in the form of subsidies for the development of sport in Poland. In terms of co-financing of sports facilities, the mentioned map covers the time 2016-22, and there are over four thousand facilities that have been supported from the Physical Culture Development Fund. Looking at individual categories, the most are multifunctional fields (1899).
It is as many as 4005 facilities with a total co -financing amount of PLN 3,619,971 738. These funds are not only FRKF, but also other programs implemented or co -realized by the company.
Looking regionally, the most investments were made in the southern and central part of Poland, including around Bydgoszcz, Warsaw, Łódź, Lower Silesia, Silesia, Lesser Poland and Podkarpackie.
Pride in the Jakuszycka Polana, pearls in Gubin and Skarratki
Examples can be multiplied. One of the most impressive is the construction of the Lower Silesian Sports Center in the Jakuszycka Polana (Szklarska Poręba in Lower Silesia). The most modern winter sports center in Europe, which is really a year -round sports center, picturesquely located at the interface of the Polish, Czech and Germany borders. The Lower Silesian Sports Center is impressive in every respect.
Such a large investment was co -financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism from the Fund for the Development of Physical Culture under the Investment Program of particular importance for sport. Co -financing amount? As much as PLN 20 million.
By moving the finger, it has a map slightly higher, towards the border with Germany, we will find another great example of support from Totalizator Sportowy. As part of the Sports Infrastructure School Development Program, co -financing at the level of PLN 2.5 million at the construction of a sports hall at Primary School No. 3 in Gubin. Cities with just over 15,000 inhabitants in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
-The topic of a modern sports and entertainment hall has been scrolling for many years, because the existing facilities are outdated and no longer fulfill their basic function so well. In addition, the both the largest Gubinian halls were on the board of the poviat, and now we have lived to see a typical city hall. We can proudly say that we finished one of the largest investments in the history of our city – said the mayor of Gubin Bartłomiej Bartczak for portalusamorzadowe.pl when cutting the ribbon and opening.
It is not only a 2,000 sq m hall itself, but a combination of investments with a school building and equipment with the necessary facilities and a place for fans – related to sports events – except for school life and service for young people.
Totalizator Sportowy also reached the Skaratoes. A village located in the Łódź Voivodeship, in the Łowicz poviat. In this case, the initiative under the name Sportowa Polska – i.e. the program for the development of local sports infrastructure. Less than 500 people have gained a beautiful sports facility, but also a comprehensive renovation of the building of the Primary School. Thanks to this, children in appropriate conditions can not only develop in terms of sports, but also cultivate the educational layer.
“We are very happy that children attending the Primary School in Skarratki have the right number of didactic rooms and a gym with a suitable facilities, which was so lacking in this school. Finally, PE classes take place in a room that meets all standards. Of course, the newly built sports hall was also created so that sports clubs and other people interested in physical culture can use it in particular area of our commune ” – we read on the official website of the commune.
The cost of co -financing from the Physical Culture Development Fund, which is attended by subsidies from Lotto games? Over PLN 1.7 million.
Although these are a few examples, they illustrate well how much can be done and how much is done when a company with many years of experience and proper sensitivity and social responsibility appears on the horizon. Thousands of fields, halls, stadiums, ice rinks, “Orlików” – and all this from year to year – on an increasing scale. Supporting such initiatives in 2021 was still “only” less than PLN 1 billion (exactly PLN 0.91 billion).
In 2024 alone, we are talking about a gigantic amount of PLN 1.24 billion.
