On Thursday, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) presented final data on consumer inflation in July. It amounted to 3.1 percent year to year, compared to 4.1 percent in June. – Prices of consumer goods and services in July 2025 increased by 3.1% compared to the same month of last year (price indicator 103.1) – we read in a message posted by the Central Statistical Office.

On a monthly basis, the prices of goods and services increased by 0.3 percent.

Inflation in July. A clear decrease is confirmed

  • alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (increase by 6.5 percent),

  • restaurants and hotels (increase by 5.8 percent),

  • food and non -alcoholic drinks (an increase of 4.9 percent),

  • health (increase by 4.7 percent),

  • use of an apartment/house and energy carriers (increase by 4.4 percent),

  • connectivity (increase by 4.1 percent).

Compared to the same month of the previous year, higher prices, including In the range of: food (by 4.7 percent), apartments (by 3.4 percent), alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (by 6.5 %) as well as restaurants and hotels (by 5.8 percent), influenced the increase in the index in total by: 1.11 percent, 0.84 percent, 0.34 pp. and 0.33 p. – calculates the Central Statistical Office.
