Indexation is not only about pensions. These allowances will increase soon
Valorization 2026 is getting closer. ZUS points out that at the beginning of March, not only pensions and pensions will increase, but also the amounts of all allowances and cash benefits.
– From March 1, pension benefits and allowances paid by ZUS will be indexed. The increase will be carried out ex officio, which means that you do not need to submit any application in this matter. Benefits will increase by 5.3 percent – informs the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in a statement.

The institution points out that this year the indexation will only be percentage-based. The indexation rate of pensions and annuities will be 105.3 percent. It is calculated on the basis of the average annual price index of consumer goods and services for the households of retirees and disability pensioners from the previous calendar year, increased by at least 20%. real increase in average wages in the same period.
Calculations presented by ZUS show that as a result of indexation, the minimum pension will increase from the current PLN 1,878.91 gross to PLN 1,978.49 gross, which means that it will increase by almost PLN 100. The social pension will also be increased to PLN 1,978.49. In turn, the pension for partial incapacity for work from March 1 will amount to PLN 1,483.87. Moreover, the limit amount of the supplementary benefit for persons unable to live independently will be increased by PLN 135.28, which will give a total value of PLN 2,687.67.
With the increase in long-term basic benefits, the amounts of allowances and cash benefits will also be indexed. The increase applies, among others, to: care allowance, orphan allowance and other long-term benefits. The pre-retirement benefit will amount to PLN 1,993.76 gross, the allowance for a complete orphan will increase to PLN 689.17, and the care allowance will amount to PLN 366.68. Additionally, the care allowance for a war invalid recognized as completely incapable of work and incapable of independent living will amount to PLN 550.02, while the energy lump sum will amount to PLN 336.16. The indexation covers benefits granted until the end of February 2026.
ZUS reminds that in connection with the March indexation, there is no need to submit any application, because it is carried out ex officio for all eligible persons. You will be able to check the amount of indexation on your account on the ZUS Electronic Services Platform. Each retiree and disability pensioner will also receive a decision on the new amount of their benefit. This document will include the gross pension amount as of the last day of February, the indexation index and the gross pension calculated after indexation. For retirees and pensioners receiving a care allowance, this decision also contains information on the amount of this allowance.
