In this country, many stars have bought islands. You can count on privacy there
There are places in the world to which only a few have access. You can afford them if you have a large wallet. Where do famous stars relax?
When going on holiday abroad, we often think about known or less popular locations. When looking for places without crowds, we choose small towns and islands. Did you know that some of them are bought by American cinema or music stars? They are particularly fond of one country. They have the ocean, beaches and privacy at their disposal.
They have their own islands
Many media reports show that their own islands include, among others: Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, Pamela Anderson, Shakira, Nicolas Cage and Eddie Murphy. Many of them vacation in the Bahamas because they have bought part of this island country as their own. What location are we actually talking about?
The Bahamas are located in the Caribbean and belong to the West Indies. They are located on the picturesque Atlantic Ocean, and they guarantee not only great relaxation, but also peace. There are as many as 700 islands, but only less than 30 are inhabited. No wonder that famous people seek refuge there. You can get to the place quickly, among others: from Florida, so US residents see them as a great holiday base.
It is also worth mentioning that the Caribbean is home to the most expensive islands in the world. Their prices start at $50 million and sometimes even reach $120 million.
Islands of famous stars
In the Bahamas, a famous private island is considered to include, among others: Little Hall’s Pond Cay. It is located in the Exumas archipelago, just 60 miles from the capital, Nassau. Its owner is Johnny Depp himself, because he became fascinated with it while filming the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. He once argued in interviews that it guaranteed him freedom and the lack of the feeling of being watched.
Another famous island is Bonds Cay Island, owned by Shakira and Roger Waters and Alejandro Sanz. There are, among others: luxury hotels, boutiques and golf courses. Moreover, in this island country, the star once owned the island of Leaf Cay – Nicolas Cage had it. And yet another island, Rooster, is ruled by Eddie Murphy.
Of course, it doesn’t end with the Bahamas. For example, George Clooney’s wife owns part of Sonning Eye Island in Oxfordshire, Central England, and Pamela Anderson owns a place off the coast of Dubai.
Yet another, in the Central American country of Belize, belongs to Leonardo Di Caprio. He bought Blackadore Caye and created an eco-friendly, luxury resort there.
It is known that each of these places is shrouded in some kind of mystery. Only a few have access to such expensive and hard-to-reach areas. Have you ever heard of any of them?
