In such a situation, ZUS suspends 800 plus payments. There is a message
ZUS reminds in what situations it suspends PLN 800 plus payments to foreigners. What should you do then?
The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) reminds that people who are not Polish citizens must meet additional conditions to maintain or obtain the right to receive 800 plus. – If we cannot confirm in the appropriate registers that a given condition is met, we are obliged to suspend the payment of the benefit. To resume it, we must obtain explanations and evidence from the person submitting the application. Information about the status of the 800+ benefit and possible requests to provide explanations in person and provide evidence is posted on the eZUS account of the person submitting the application. – explains ZUS.
The right to 800 plus is available to a person who is not a Polish citizen if:
-
lives in the territory of Poland with the child for whom the 800+ benefit has been granted throughout the period of receiving the benefit,
-
is professionally active, i.e. is subject to pension and disability insurance,
-
the child fulfills the obligation of one-year kindergarten preparation, compulsory school attendance or compulsory education.
Pursuant to the Act on state aid in raising children, ZUS suspends 800 plus payments if there are doubts whether the foreigner submitting the application or the child concerned meet all the conditions. – We verify the condition of residence in Poland, among others, in the register of temporary protection beneficiaries kept by the Border Guard. For example, data regarding crossing the Polish border are recorded there – informs ZUS.
The most common reasons for withholding payment of PLN 800 plus to foreigners
The company reveals that the 800 plus is most often stopped when:
-
the Border Guard register records the departure from Poland of the person submitting the application or the child, but there is no data on re-entry,
-
there is no information in the registers of the Social Insurance Institution and the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund that the person submitting the application is registered for pension and disability insurance,
-
there is no information in the educational information system that the child fulfills the obligation of one-year kindergarten preparation, compulsory schooling or compulsory education,
-
there are inconsistencies in the registers regarding the identification data of the person submitting the application or the child (name, surname, date of birth, PESEL number).
What needs to be done for ZUS to resume the 800 plus payment? – If we suspend the payment of the 800+ benefit, we will call on the person submitting the application to provide explanations and provide evidence that he and his child meet the conditions to receive this benefit. After obtaining the evidence within the specified period (3 days from receiving the request), we will resume the payment from the month in which we suspended it – explains the institution.
