Important changes in Egypt. Tourists will no longer see this in the hotel

Will Egypt finally give up this popular form of entertainment? Everything indicates that evening shows in hotels involving animals will be strictly prohibited. The Egyptian Chamber of Tourist Facilities has already issued a directive on this matter. According to the new rules, both wild and domestic species will be exempt from artistic and entertainment performances in resorts. However, the real reason may be surprising.

Egypt bans animal shows

Evening shows are an integral part of holidays at the resort. After a whole day of sightseeing or lying by the pool, tourists go to the main bar or restaurant, where they can watch a show prepared by animators on stage. Sometimes it contains elements of the culture of a given country (e.g. traditional dances), other times it focuses on fire shows, comedy scenes or musical performances. Usually, a different show takes place on each subsequent day of the week. The program is predetermined and repeats throughout the season.

Unfortunately, some hotels in Egypt still use animals for this purpose. However, this is about to change now. As Egypt Independent writes, the directive on this matter was issued by the Egyptian Chamber of Tourist Facilities.

It is primarily about the safety of guests

However, this is not entirely motivated solely by animal welfare. Officially, it is said that it is necessary to ensure the safety of guests and staff, who may be exposed to accidental attacks by their charges. The Egyptian Chamber warned that any facility violating the new rules would be subject to legal and administrative sanctions.
