Iga Świątek – Magda Linette. Where and when to watch the WTA 1000 match in Miami?
Świątek will be the clear favorite in the Polish match. Interestingly, both tennis players met in an official WTA match only once, in 2023 during the tournament in Beijing. Świątek won very confidently 6:1, 6:1, leaving her colleague from the Polish national team no illusions about her superiority on the court.
What will it be like to compete in Miami? Linette has certainly had a pretty solid start to the season. Świątek’s decline has been minimal, from second to third position in the world ranking. During the recent tournament in Indian Wells (WTA 1000), the best Polish tennis player reached the quarterfinals of the event.
Świątek won in Miami in 2022. Aryna Sabalenka defends her title from last year. The leader of the WTA rankings has had great days behind her, with a trophy for her triumph in Indian Wells. If the athlete from Minsk also wins in Miami, she will complete the so-called Sunshine Double. However, the rivals will certainly want to thwart the favorite’s plan.
When will the match between Świątek and Linette take place? The second round match of the tournament is scheduled for Thursday, March 19. Polish tennis players will take to the court at the earliest at 8:00 p.m. Polish timeas the third one after the Eala – Siegemund and Marozsan – Fonseca matches, which will start at 5:00 p.m.
