Caroline Garcia will be the first rival of Iga Świątek during the BNP Paribas Open WTA 1000 tournament. It is known when the match of the runner -up of the ranking will take place.

However, the Polish tennis player failed to add another, 23rd title to his career. Świątek now enters the game in the United States. The first tournament will be BNP Paribas Open, played in the famous Indian Wells.

Świątek in his first match will play with experienced Caroline Garcia. The Frenchwoman is currently classified in the 71st place in the WTA ranking. Certainly, the Polish woman will have to be on guard, because Garcia can play her, so she can be an uncomfortable opponent at the stage of the second round of the struggle.

Interestingly, it was originally assumed that the match of Świątek – Garcia would start around 22:00 Polish time. The organizers, however, must face the problems regarding weather conditions, namely the falling rain. For this reason, several meetings were postponed, and the clash of the Polish woman will most likely start, but not earlier than on Friday (i.e. March 7) at 23:00.

After the match of Świątek – Garcia will come out … another Polish representative. This time it will be Magda Linette, who will fight Jessica Pegul. The American is currently the number 4 of the world lists, the Poznanian is classified in the 36th place. This match will start not earlier than at 0:30, on Saturday (i.e. March 8).

The matches of the ladies in Indian Wells are and will be shown on Canal+ Sport antennas and online via the Canal+ online platform.

The Polish woman in her career so far has reached a total of 22. Championship titles at the courts almost all over the world.

Świątek triumphed in five struggles in a great shelter, four times on the courts of Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and once at the US Open (2022). In addition, the prestigious triumph in WTA Finals (2023) should be added.

In addition, won in WTA 1000 rank tournaments, respectively in Rome (2021, 2022, 2024), Dosze (2022 and 2024), Indian Wells (2022 and 2024), Miami (2022), Beijing (2023) and Madrid (2024).
