The third set began with a valid break for Świątki (2: 0). The Polish woman arranged the last straight, although she had to play solidly so as not to let the American into playing again, restoring hope for victory. However, she did it so consistently that the third set ended with a unilateral 6: 1 for a Polish woman and 2: 1 in the whole match.

Świątek endured this nerve test. In the third round the Polish opponent will be … another American Danielle Collins.
