Iga Świątek found herself in a unique place. A Polish woman among great legends!
The end of the year is a time of summaries. It is no different in world tennis. Iga Świątek once again found herself in one row with tennis legends.
The best Polish singles player has been at the forefront of world tennis for several years. Iga Świątek topped the WTA ranking for the first time on April 4, 2022. As it turns out, it was from that moment that the Pole began to rank among the truly best of the best, looking back on the history of tennis.
The Pole stands shoulder to shoulder with Chris Evert, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams
The well-known and respected tennis site on social media, OptaAce, published a set of only five tennis players in history who could show off the achievements that 23-year-old Świątek had just recorded on her account.
We are talking about three seasons in a row in which the player triumphed in WTA tournaments, those at the highest possible level. It turns out that in the period 2022-24, Świątek joined four tennis legends with her results. These are: Chris Evert (1974-77), Martina Navratilova (1978-1986), Steffi Graf (1987-90) and Serena Williams (2012-15).
It must be admitted that it is difficult to find a more distinguished group.

In her career so far, the Pole has won a total of 22 championship titles on courts almost all over the world.
Świątek won five Grand Slams, four times at Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and once at the US Open (2022). To this should be added the prestigious triumph in the WTA Finals (2023).
