Iga Świątek crisis. It wasn’t so bad in the case of the Polish woman

It is worth noting that in the case of Iga Świątek, the expectations of the world “two” are certainly high. The Polish woman herself has set the bar herself, from April 2022, becoming the best player of the globe. In recent months, however, the situation has changed significantly.

WTA: Iga Świątek still without a tournament trophy in 2025

For the last time the best Polish tennis player triumphed in the WTA rank event during the Grand Slam tournament Roland Garros. In Paris, the Polish woman won for the fourth time in her career. Anyway, it was there, in 2020, Iga Świątek introduced herself to the world for good. The “Queen of Paris” certainly on the French capital, she feels great.

The second half of last year was actually lost by the Polish woman. Świątek did not appear on the courts, returning only during the WTA Finals in Riyadh. As it turned out later, he had a second bottom, because Świątek had to prove her innocence in the confusion associated with a positive anti -doping result.

The 23 -year -old player dealt with the problems, there was an additional change in the coach, but … there are no successes. The Polish woman in 2025 looks solid, reaching high in individual tournaments. The Australian Open semi -final, similarly during the WTA 1000 in Dosze, the Polish woman also reached the best four at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. This year’s collection can also be added to the WTA 1000 quarter -finals in Dubai.

However, the title, as it wasn’t, is not there. For comparison, Aryna Sabalenenko’s current “one” reached for winning during the WTA 500 in Brisbane. The Belarusian also played, among others in the Australian Open final or the last struggles in Indian Wells.

How many holidays are waiting for a tournament, final victory? The meter beats inexorable for a Polish woman, it has been over nine months without a trophy. Counting into days (on March 17), it is 282 days without a tournament win in the final of Świątek. The Polish woman never waited for this type of triumph in her career.

The Polish woman in her career so far has reached a total of 22. Championship titles at the courts almost all over the world.

Świątek triumphed in five struggles in a great shelter, four times on the courts of Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and once at the US Open (2022). In addition, the prestigious triumph in WTA Finals (2023) should be added.

In addition, won in WTA 1000 rank tournaments, respectively in Rome (2021, 2022, 2024), Dosze (2022 and 2024), Indian Wells (2022 and 2024), Miami (2022), Beijing (2023) and Madrid (2024).

The list also includes the WTA 500 struggle, successively: Adelajda (2021), Stuttgart (2022 and 2023), San Diego (2022) and the aforementioned Dosze (2023). Plus Polish accent, WTA 250 in Warsaw (2023).

After the Olympic tournament in Paris (2024), the bronze medal of the Games should be added to this list. The first album in the history of Polish Olympicism pulled out of competition on tennis courts.
