Exactly 25 wins in a row in the Parisian tournament Roland Garros has Iga Świątek. The Polish woman is among the best in the history of tennis.
The four -time winner of the Grand Slam tournament scored a great performance in the Sunday match of the 4th round. Jelena Rybakina was the rival of Iga Świątek. Kazaszka, it seemed, she had already had a defender of the title. Winning 6: 1 in the first set and leading 2: 0 in the second (with a breakthrough of Christmas), however, the Polish woman managed to reverse the fate of the duel and check in in the best eight of this year’s edition of Roland Garros.

The Polish tennis player turned 24 on May 31. Despite such a young age, Świątek in many statistics is already in one row with the most famous figures of world tennis. Example? A sensational series of Polish victories at the courts in Paris. During Roland Garros – counting the aforementioned victory over Rybakina – the Polish champion has already won 25 wins in a row.
What’s more, Świątek has not lost since 2022 in the rank of the Grand Slam in the French capital. This happened only once, which is not included in the statistics of tournament games from the Touru WTA series, i.e. during the Olympic Games. But in no way it diminishes the Polish woman’s achievements in Roland Garros.
The leader, with an amazing number of 39 wins in a row in Paris, is of course Rafael. Of course, because he was “King of Paris”, who just during RG tournaments felt the best, looking at his rich career. Saint, however, has been called the “Queen of Paris” for some time and it is difficult to disagree with the fact that it is now the Polish woman who is the dominator on Parisian Mączka.
Świątek, thanks to winning for the 25th time, equated in the classification of all time with Monica Seles. The famous champion of nine Grand Slam tournaments, in the early 1990s, leader of the World WTA ranking.
