IEM Katowice 2025 is coming! The return of e-sports giants to the legendary Spodek

The next edition of one of the most anticipated e-sports tournaments in the world is approaching – IEM Katowice 2025. From the turn of January and February, Katowice will become the global center of Counter-Strike competitions.
Exciting duels, the best teams and a unique atmosphere – all this makes IEM Katowice attract crowds of fans every year who dream of participating in this unique event.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 – the beginning of the competition
The first stage of the competition will begin January 29 and it will last until January 31st. During this period he will fight 16 teamswhich will compete in a double elimination system. Each match will be played in the following format BO3which means teams must win two out of a maximum of three games to advance. From the group of the best eight teams, a group of participants will emerge who will join the leading teams invited to the event Phase 2. This part of the tournament is planned for February 1–4 and will again be played in a double-elimination system (BO3), guaranteeing fans a solid dose of e-sports emotions.

However, what attracts the most attention are the decisive matches that will take place in… Spodek between February 7 and 9. In the quarterfinals and semifinals, the competitors will compete in the following format BO3and the grand finale will be decided in BO5which will provide even more tension and unforgettable moments. The winners of these clashes will go down in history as the winners of one of the most prestigious CS:GO events.
IEM 2025 tickets. How to get them?
Due to the huge interest of fans, tickets for IEM Katowice 2025 They sold out in the blink of an eye within just three sales rounds. They took place:
- October 22 (first pot),
- October 29 (second batch, during which, among others, one-day tickets appeared),
- November 5 (third and final round).
If you did not manage to purchase a ticket officially, you can still look for tickets resold by other fans – but it is worth being careful to avoid unfair offers.
For people who will not be able to participate in the main competitions, the organizers have prepared IEM EXPO – an accompanying zone with open access, where you can spend time actively and feel the atmosphere of a great tournament. To avoid queues on the day of the event, it is recommended to arrive in Katowice in advance and collect wristbands or accreditations. It is also worth remembering that participants under 16 years of age must meet additional requirements to take part in the event.
Who will appear at IEM Katowice 2025?
They will perform together in this year’s edition 24 teams. The first 16 of them will start the competition in Phase 1 (January 29-31)and these include:

Eight teams from Phase 1 will join the above-mentioned formations and together they will fight for promotion to the play-offs in Spodek. The group winners will automatically advance to the semi-finals, while the second and third placed teams will play in the quarter-finals. All meetings in this part will be held in the format BO3which means that the players must demonstrate maximum concentration and comprehensive skills to be counted in the fight for the main trophy.

During IEM Katowice 2025, the city will once again turn into a real e-sports center. The packed Spodek hall and the loud cheering of fans give the tournament a unique atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere else. In addition, there are additional attractions, such as meetings with players and numerous trade fair and partner zones, which makes the Katowice event an unforgettable experience for every e-sports enthusiast.
