Dubai’s great attraction will undergo a major renovation. During this time, tourists will not be able to use it. It’s about an iconic building.

Popular cities in Middle Eastern countries have long attracted tourists. Recently, due to the war between the US, Israel and Iran, many people have given up traveling to Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Despite this, information about local attractions still arouses interest. This time, the new news concerns the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. Considered a symbol of the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, it has been closed since April 15.

Beloved hotel in Dubai closed

Tourists will not be able to use the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel for 18 months. Do you remember an impressive object resembling a sail? It has been serving tourists since 1999 and impressed with its construction. It also offered high-class rooms, attractions and picturesque views.

The place was closed for a major renovation – the first since the opening day. It can be assumed that the process was accelerated, among others: due to damage that occurred in early March. Then, debris left from the Iranian drone attack hit the hotel’s facade. Despite this, one of the employees of the Jumeirah group assures that the effect of the attack is not the reason for the actions being taken.

The works are to be carried out in stages by Parisian interior designer Tristan Auer. Guests who had reservations there for upcoming dates will be offered alternative accommodations in the same area.

Burj Al Arab is an icon in the city

The Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is considered a luxurious hit attracting wealthy guests. Although it does not surpass the Burj Khalifa, the largest building in the world, it is considered one of the tallest in the city. Tourists find it on a private artificial island about 280 meters from Jumeirah Beach. Thanks to this, you can always feel like you are on an exotic vacation. Top-class dishes await you in the restaurants, and comfortable furnishings in the rooms.

The hotel remains completely closed for the duration of the renovation, so people going to the city must use available alternatives. Luxury hotels in the vicinity include: the Madinat Jumeirah complex, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Mina Al Salam.
