Korean IBK opens a branch in Warsaw. The new bank will focus on servicing companies from the small and medium -sized enterprise sector.

Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), one of the leading South Korean financial institutions, officially launches its branch in Poland – informs “Property News”. The headquarters of the newly created IBK Bank Polska will be on the 31st floor of the prestigious Warsaw Financial Center (WFC) in the center of Warsaw.

– Warsaw Financial Center is a prestigious location in the heart of the central business area, providing not only excellent working conditions, but also the proximity of key financial institutions. We are glad that IBK Bank Polska SA will have its headquarters here – emphasized Ji Wook Kim, EU Managing Director (Head of Eu Operations), Industrial Bank of Korea.

IBK – focused on the SME sector

The website reminds that IBK Bank will operate as IBK Bank Polska, after in the second half of 2024 the Polish Financial Supervision Authority gave permission to start operations on the Polish market. The new branch will focus on servicing companies, in particular from the small and medium -sized enterprise sector. This is a natural direction – IBK, as a bank controlled by the South Korean government, has in its mission to support SMEs on both the domestic and international market.

IBK – headquarters in the heart of Warsaw

The new IBK branch will cover an area of ​​950 sq m. in the 32-story WFC office building, located at the intersection of Emilii Plater and Świętokrzyska streets. In the lease process, the bank was supported by the ITRA Polska advisory company, specializing in servicing office tenants.
