I went by train to Paris. And I made one mistake

8 hours with a “small adventure” along the way. That’s what it took me to drive the Berlin-Paris route thanks to the new rail connection. I paid about PLN 220 for a ticket in the second class. And although Pendolino is on the people who sometimes ride a pendolino, the composition itself is not more impressed, it is 320 km/h, which is the speed he achieved – yes. But there are more pros associated with choosing this option.
I warn the doubts of malcontents. Yes, you must first get to Berlin. So it certainly will not be a “fastest” connection with Paris that a Pole can imagine. But it is enough to use this “drawback” and opt for an afternoon walk around Berlin and accommodation in one of the budget hotels nearby Hauptbahnhof, That this European trip would take on a completely new dimension. In my opinion, this is therefore an option for those who can add a day to travel and … even taking into account accommodation in the German capital, save a lot.
But in turn.
In eight hours by half of Europe
In connection with the promised daughter’s trip to Disneyland, I decided to look for a budget option to reach Paris. Cheap lines fly there, and yes, but ticket prices to the French capital are usually quite expensive. In addition, the Beauvais-Tille airport, sometimes called by life optimists by the Paris-Beauvais airport, is about 85 km from Paris. In addition, it happens that flights there are quite strange and hindering communication with communication. Therefore, the flight on Beauvais is indeed the cheapest, but it generates other logistics and financial challenges (e.g. when you have to order a taxi to get there in the morning). And I wanted to avoid it.
Fortunately, in late autumn there were news with a direct rail connection, which is to give travelers a chance to get from Berlin to Paris in 8 hours (for those willing also back). I started to explore the topic and it turned out that the train would stop in Frankfurt and Karlsruhe in Germany and Strasbourg in France. The schedule stated that he would leave the station Berlin Hauptbahnhof at 11.54 and commute to Gare de L’Est in Paris at 19.55.
I checked the loud announcements for myself. And although we were at our destination 25 minutes later than the distribution pointed out, everything was guilty of failure and the need to change the composition. Well, it happens to Germany.
