I drink this tea and the sides disappear. I also get rid of other problems
Hibiscus tea is my newest discovery. A friend recommended it to me and I must admit that it was a hit. Since I started drinking this drink, I have lost a few centimeters around my waist. I also noticed other benefits.
Various types of teas are often used when losing weight. However, few have heard of hibiscus infusion (its other name is Sudan mallow). What a pity. This drink has many valuable properties. Supports the process of losing extra kilos. It also supports the functioning of many different organs. I experienced this myself. I was honestly surprised to see how many benefits drinking hibiscus tea brought me.
How to make hibiscus tea?
Preparing the drink is very simple. Just pour one teaspoon of dried petals with a glass of hot water and brew covered for about ten minutes. Before drinking the tea, it is a good idea to pour it through a strainer (although this is not strictly necessary). You can also enrich the drink with various additional ingredients as you like, for example a slice of lemon or orange, honey, a few mint leaves or a cinnamon stick. It all depends on individual preferences.
It is recommended to drink hibiscus tea no more than twice a day. Dried Sudan mallow flower petals are available in health food stores – both stationary and online. The cost of 100 grams is about ten zlotys, although you can also find products at lower prices. Much depends on the location and the reputation of the store.
What is the slimming effect of hibiscus tea?
Compounds contained in hibiscus may support weight loss by accelerating metabolism and the rate of fat burning. At the same time, they facilitate the process of cleansing the body of toxins and harmful metabolic products. They also have a diuretic effect and thus prevent water from retaining in the tissues. They reduce swelling and flatulence. It is worth emphasizing, however, that the weight loss process cannot be limited only to drinking Sudanese mallow infusion. It is necessary to make changes to your diet and daily habits. A good idea is to increase the amount of vegetables in your diet, especially those rich in fiber, i.e. dietary fiber that increases the feeling of satiety after a meal. Physical activity is also key.
Other properties of hibiscus
Hibiscus is a valuable source of antioxidants and essential oils. These compounds have many health-promoting properties. They have antifungal and antibacterial properties. They strengthen immunity, lower blood pressure and reduce cholesterol levels. They also fight the harmful effects of free radicals and protect the body against various diseases, including atherosclerosis and cancer. At the same time, they improve liver function and prevent gastric problems.
Can everyone drink hibiscus tea?
Hibiscus tea is not recommended for people with stomach ulcers, chronic kidney and digestive system diseases. It should not be used by children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as people with hypotension and hormonal disorders. It is also worth giving up drinking the infusion during pharmacotherapy. Sudan mallow may interact with some medications. If you have any doubts about whether it is worth including hibiscus tea in your diet, consult your doctor.
