Less crowded and with cheaper accommodation than in other cities. Poznań gains in the eyes of tourists, both domestic and foreign. Vacation forecasts are very good.
This summer, Polish tourism will record further increases. Although Krakow and Zakopane have enjoyed great interest among foreign guests, Poznań is also expecting an increase in the number of tourists.
New estimates were presented in an interview with Głos Wielkopolski Jan Mazurczak, head of the Poznań Tourist Organization (Plot). The representative of Plot noticed that last year in July and August the occupancy of hotels reached 71 percent, and this summer it could be even better. In the country, the capital of Greater Poland attracts the most tourists from Warsaw, Wrocław and Szczecin. Foreign tourists are also becoming more and more interested in getting to know.

“Interestingly, we also managed to contract tourists from Dubai as part of the travel agency with which we cooperate. They will arrive until the end of the holiday. This means several thousand people – each for about a week – and this translates into tens of thousands of nights in Poznań and the surrounding area,” said Jan Mazurczak.
He added that the “huge increases” are recorded by the Czechs. “In addition, our southern neighbors often drive cars to the Polish sea, and many of them stop on the way in Poznań. At camping, such as Malta, I regularly see Czech registrations and motorhomes, trailers” – noted the official.
He also mentioned the advantages of Poznań. “Poznań just likes it because it is not crowded, it has a great kitchen, And in the summer it is also simply cheaper than other large cities” – he encouraged. He pointed out that accommodation in hotels is usually a bit cheaper, which is of great importance for traveling families with children. On this group of tourists, the city is very much careful. There is another good news. – In Poznań, Omitourism does not occur and it does not happen in the near future – assured the representative of the organization. – Of course, tourism is not only a benefit, because it can become vigilant.
Bittersweet Festival. Tens of thousands of participants
If you like to combine a journey with participation in music events, then there will also be an opportunity in Poznań. On August 14-16, the “Bittersweet Festival” Music Festival will take place for tens of thousands of people. The program would not be ashamed of the largest music events in Poland.
