However, there will be no further freezing of electricity prices? The president was annoyed by one thing

Andrzej Duda

The president’s objection to the windmill act may block the extension of freezing of electricity prices. Minister of the Climate Paulina Henning-Kloska hopes that there will be no veto, and PiS is preparing her solution in this matter.

Last week, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the so -called windmill law, which, among others It reduces the minimum distance of wind turbines from buildings to 500 meters. The act also includes provisions regarding the extension of freezing energy prices by the end of this year. We would like to remind you that under the existing regulations, the recipient of electricity in households may benefit from a frozen price at the level of PLN 500 per MWH net until the end of September.

There will be no further freezing of electricity prices? President annoyed

Now the amendment will go to the Senate. The President will make the final decision in this matter. Shortly after the decision of the Sejm, Andrzej Duda stated that the government was trying to force him to sign the law.

I understand that, unfortunately, the prime minister and his colleagues, by throwing such a amendment that is to protect Poles against increases in energy prices, simply tries to force me to sign on this act by putting me against the wall, but he must remember that I am already finishing my second term – said the president.

I am not personally a supporter of windmills. I am in favor of other types of renewable energy. I am not in favor of windmills on land. The landscape matters more for me than to watch standing windmills everywhere. You can agree with me, you can disagree with me; I also said it loudly during the RBN He added.

The minister of climate comments

According to the findings of Wirtualna Polska, the president may veto the act. What does the government say? – We freeze prices for the fourth quarter, preventing them with increases. We release investments in renewable energy sources for long -term, including on land wind farms, which are the cheapest available source of energy. This is confirmed by the hard data of the Energy Market Agency. Lower energy prices are therefore in the hands of the president. If he wants to reduce energy prices for Poles and the economy, he will sign this law – Paulina Henning-Kloska, the minister of climate and the environment said in an interview with Money.pl.

If President Duda vetos the act, he contacts Polish families to a more expensive current and deprives them of the possibility of obtaining additional profits. I count on reason. I gave the president full data showing the costs of energy production in Poland. Mr. President knows that more renewable energy means more cheaper energy, that the sun must complement the wind She added.

When asked if consulting and taking into account the opinions of Andrzej Duda during work on the Senate Act, the head of the climate ministry emphasized that “she is always open to comments from the Presidential Palace”.

That the outgoing president would not be prevented guilty of increases in electricity prices, Law and Justice politicians announce the submission of their own project on the protection of electricity consumers.
