How much will drivers pay for fuel this week? Not a very good prognosis
Unfortunately, the reductions in fuel prices at stations turned out to be temporary. Experts predict that drivers will have to take into account a small but still price increase this week.
e-petrol.pl experts Dr. Jakub Bogucki and Grzegorz Maziak indicate that the previous week brought an unexpected drop in fuel prices. Although the scale of reductions was not large, even small changes should please drivers, as further reductions are unlikely to occur in the near future.
– The drop in prices at gas stations in recent days has been at the expense of the margins of retail market operators. However, drivers must take into account that this discount was of an incidental nature, because there is no room for further reductions. – write e-petrol.pl analysts.
Last week, wholesale fuel prices remained high. Both 95-octane petrol and diesel cost more than at the beginning of November. A cubic meter of gasoline was valued at an average of PLN 4,571.40. This is PLN 91.40 above the level from the beginning of November. In the same period, the price of diesel increased by PLN 82.40 and currently costs PLN 4,853.60/cubic meter.
What are fuel prices this week? The return of price increases
As mentioned, the reductions took place at gas stations, which was a great relief for those who refueled after two weeks of noticeable increases. At the end of last week, the popular “95” and diesel oil became cheaper by 2 groszy and cost PLN 5.92/l and PLN 6.09/l, respectively. The price of autogas decreased by a penny and cost PLN 2.59/l.
What fuel prices can drivers expect this week? Unfortunately, there is no good news here, because e-petrol.pl analysts forecast moderate increases at gas stations at the beginning of the second half of November. The expected price ranges for individual fuel types for the coming week are as follows:
-
PLN 5.88-5.99/l for 95-octane gasoline,
-
PLN 6.08-6.19/l for diesel oil,
-
PLN 2.58-2.66/l for autogas.
