How much does Radosław Piesiewicz earn? Nitras: 100 thousand? Probably more
There is no doubt that sports fans are witnessing a war between Sławomir Nitras and Radosław Piesiewicz. The Minister of Sport revealed how much the president of the Polish Olympic Committee can earn.
Radosław Piesiewicz must expect an audit by the Supreme Audit Office and the National Revenue Administration. After the weak Olympic Games and the controversy over the departures of the Polish Olympic Committee helmsman, the Minister of Sport Sławomir Nitras wants to investigate in depth how the Polish Olympic Committee used state money.
Sławomir Nitras revealed Radosław Piesiewicz’s potential earnings
The head of the Polish Olympic Committee has repeatedly stressed that the Minister of Sport has no right to interfere in the organization he manages. He also indicated that he and his family feel hounded by the media, which could ultimately lead to the situation with Paweł Adamowicz, who was killed by an assassin.
The Minister of Sport does not seem to care about Piesiewicz’s statements and wants to investigate the situation in the Polish Olympic Committee within the limits of his available powers. In an interview with Onet, Sławomir Nitras revealed that after taking over the helm of the organization, Piesiewicz fired over 80 percent of the employees. He added that although he does not have precise information yet, from the opinions he has heard, he assumes that Piesiewicz collects over 100 thousand złoty per month.
– If the information regarding the salary of President Piesiewicz is confirmed, it means that the President of the Polish Olympic Committee earns more than the President of the International Olympic Committee. It’s impressive, isn’t it? And if the President of the Polish Olympic Committee earns more than the President of the IOC, then we can probably hold the games in Poland. For now, we only know the global amounts, we know how much everyone on the board earns. And now we are adjusting these amounts – said Nitras.
The Minister of Sport speaks about the request from the President of the Polish Olympic Committee
The Minister of Sport added that Piesiewicz asked him for one million złoty before the Olympic Games. “He came to the Ministry of Sport, said that he didn’t have enough money for uniforms, and asked for support in the purchase,” revealed Sławomir Nitras, also saying that the President of the Polish Olympic Committee also asked President Andrzej Duda for help with transport.
