How many foreigners work in Poland? We got to know the latest GUS data
The Central Statistical Office on Tuesday, August 12, presented statistics on the work of foreigners in Poland for February 2025. It turns out that their number has significantly increased compared to the previous year.
As we read on the official website of the Central Statistical Office, on the last day of February 2025, 1057.4 thousand performed work in Poland. foreigners, i.e. by 5.3 percent more than in February 2024. Compared to the previous month, their number increased by 1.2 percent.
How many foreigners work in Poland?
In the analyzed population of foreigners, the majority were men. Their share was 59.8 percent. And it was 0.3 p. more than in February 2024. and 0.1 p. more than a month earlier.
Compared to February 2024, both the number of women and men increased among foreigners performing work – by 4.4 percent, respectively. and 5.8 percent Compared to January 31, 2025, the number of women increased by 0.9 percent, and the number of men by 1.4 percent.
It is worth noting, however, that from data for January 2025 the community performing the work also includes owners, co -owners and tenants of individual farms in agriculture, including helping members of their families, including foreigners.
Ukrainian citizens dominate among working foreigners
Of course, the largest group of foreigners working in Poland were Ukrainian citizens. Official statistics speak of 708.9 thousand. people, i.e. by 2.7 percent more than in the same month of the previous year and more by 1.0 percent. than in January 2025.
Ukrainians accounted for 67.0 percent. a total number of foreigners undertaking work in Poland. Their participation decreased compared to February 2024 by 1.7 points. percent and 0.2 points percent compared to January 2025.
