How do Poles celebrate Independence Day? Surprising survey results

Less than 17 percent Poles take part in public events on November 11 – according to a survey by SW Research for “Wprost”.

November 11, which means Independence Day, is approaching. It’s a public holiday, so we decided to ask Poles how they celebrate this holiday. The SW Research survey for “Wprost” showed us interesting data. They show that few of us take part in any public events related to this day. Many of us don’t feel the need to celebrate at all. It is worth noting that in this survey respondents could choose more than one answer.

November 11. How do Poles celebrate?

16.9 percent respondents answered that they take part in public events on this day. In the case of men it is 19.1 percent, and in the case of women 15 percent.

More than half, 50.4 percent, replied that they watched state ceremonies on television or on the Internet. “I celebrate in a different way” answered 22.9 percent. respondents, and 20.5 percent I don’t celebrate this holiday at all.
