Homeowners can get thousands of zlotys. One condition is crucial

On March 30, 2026, the recruitment of applications for the new program began National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. Under it, home owners can receive financial support, among other things, for a carport equipped with a photovoltaic installation.

The program was addressed to natural persons investing in PV micro-installations and electricity storage. The recruitment is time-limited and will last until April 24, 2026 or until the available budget is exhausted.

Financing for a carport only with photovoltaics

Support does not apply to regular carports. For a structure to be covered by the program, it must contain photovoltaic cells. As explained by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, a carport or similar structure equipped with PV modules may also be considered a photovoltaic installation.

The program is financed by National Recovery and Resilience Plan and is intended to act as a transitional solution between the end of the “My Electricity 6.0” program and the new support system for energy storage from the Modernization Fund.

Who can get funding for a carport?

Support can be applied for by natural persons who produce electricity for their own needs, have a micro-installation connected to the grid and are a party to an energy sales agreement or a comprehensive agreement.

Another condition is energy settlement in the net-billing system. The micro-installation must have a power of 2 kW to 20 kW and serve the needs of existing residential buildings.

A photovoltaic shelter alone is not enough

According to the rules of the program, reporting the PV installation itself does not entitle you to receive support. In the case of a photovoltaic micro-installation, it is necessary to simultaneously report the energy storage or heat storage.

In practice, this means that the carport must be equipped not only with photovoltaic cells, but also with electricity or heat storage.

Financing for a carport. These are the amounts of support

The program provides for non-repayable grants. You can get up to 50% for a photovoltaic installation. eligible costs, maximum PLN 7,000 zloty.

Up to 50% support is provided for energy storage. eligible costs and a maximum of PLN 16,000. zloty. In turn, the heat storage facility can receive up to 5,000. zloty. As a result, the owner of a carport with photovoltaics and energy storage can obtain up to PLN 23,000. PLN of support.

The most important dates and conditions of the program

The funding covers only completed investments. Eligible costs may come from the period from August 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025.

At the time of submitting the application, the devices must be fully paid for, installed and connected to the network by the operator. All devices should be new and manufactured no earlier than 24 months before installation.

Applications can only be submitted electronically via the Funding Application Generator. The recruitment will last until April 24, 2026, or until the program budget of PLN 335 million from the KPO is exhausted.
