Holidays in Alicante will not be the same anymore. It’s about changes in bars

Alicante authorities speak quite loud tourist events. They decided at which hours the bars would be open.
Alicante’s holiday atmosphere will no longer be like it used to be. The Spanish city will introduce rules limiting the functioning of bars. It will be more difficult to set up new music clubs, and the existing bars will have to close at the early time. After one in the morning, tourists will not enter the premises on Fridays and Saturdays, and on other days the door will be closed just thirty minutes after midnight.
Spain introduces changes
Tourists must be ready for further changes in Spain. After short -term rental restrictions and introduction of a compulsory register of travelers in hotels, the time has come to regulate the work of bars. The rich entertainment offer of Alicante loved by Poles has been associated with many problems for the city’s inhabitants for years, who complained about noise in late night. In May last year, the idea of limiting the activities of the premises, which now becomes a reality, appeared for the first time. Now the People’s Party of the Alicante province has approved the implementation of two noise zones at the city’s focal points. The first part will cover streets such as Castaños, San Ildefonso and Cándida Jimeno Gargallo and the section of San Francisco Street. The second applies to areas at Plaza Plaza Quijano and at the streets of Virgen de Belén, San Agustín and Montegón.
Bars only until 1 am
As part of the new regulations, the issue of licenses enabling the opening of premises focused on playing loud music will be limited. Existing facilities will have to close much earlier. Gastronomy premises (including bars) can take guests up to 00:30 from Sunday to Thursday, and on Fridays and Saturdays only half an hour longer. In the case of dance clubs, opening hours will be extended to 1:00 from Sunday to Thursday and 3:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The number of police interventions is also to be increased. The schedule will be implemented over the next 30 business days and does not apply to state holidays. Restrictions also include 24 -hour stores.
