Holidays a priority for Poles. We are ready to postpone these expenses for later

Poles are willing to reduce daily expenses to go to holiday rest – according to a study at the request of Allianz Partners. These expenses will be much higher this year than last year.

According to the study “International Travel Confidence Index 2025” carried out on behalf of Allianz Partners, as much as 78 percent. Poles are planning a holiday trip in the period from June to September. This is one of the highest results in Europe, only Italians and Spaniards are ahead of us (83 and 80 percent, respectively).

The study shows that almost 60 percent We will spend holidays in the country, most often at the sea (32 percent). 35 percent respondents intend to go abroad. One -fifth of respondents (22 percent) is not planned.

How much will we spend this year on vacation?

The average budget we plan to spend on this year’s vacation is about PLN 6,431.32 (1514 euros) per household. This gives us the penultimate place among nine countries studied, but we record in this respect a significant increase in relation to last year – by PLN 1091.71, i.e. by over 20 percent. Compared to 2024, for comparison, the Swiss plans to spend an average of EUR 3722 on an average of EUR 3722, 2747 euros, Germany 2177 euros, Italians 1950 euros, French 1514 euros. We only overtook the Spaniards who plan to spend 1056 euros.

The study proves that Poles are willing to reduce daily expenses to go on holiday. Two -thirds of us (65 percent) plan to give up entertainment, and 61 percent postpone the purchase of a car for later, check the renovation of the apartment.

The results of the “International Travel Confidence Index 2025” study show that Poles invariably love summer rest. Holidays are an important time of regeneration and detachment from everyday life, even if it means the need to limit other expenses. We also observe this phenomenon in other European countries, but in Poland the trend is particularly clear – Commenters Agnieszka Krupa, managing director of Allianz Partners Polska.

The study also shows that a group of tourists is growing, who are planning a trip to decide on additional protection in the form of tourist insurance. Up to 69 percent Poles declared that he would buy tourist insurance or already have it. This is an increase of 3 percentage points. compared to last year. The studied are primarily guided by the desire to ensure medical help and return to the country (57 percent) and reimbursement of possible treatment costs abroad (50 percent).

The “International Travel Confidence Index 2025” study was conducted on behalf of Allianz Partners by Opinionway on a group of 9,300 people from 9 European countries using the CAWI method on April 11-22, 2025. 1045 respondents were studying in Poland.
