Historical evening of Polish football! It was nervous until the very end

Jagiellonia Białystok came out as the first for a rematch on Thursday, late afternoon. Polish champions had a great advance from the first meeting in their area, where they played 3: 0 CERCLE BRUGGE. They were done by weather conditions, the falling rain in Warsaw, the football simply slipped the goalkeeper Molde at hand.

Unfortunately, in the end of the extra time there was a strong confusion on the pitch, struggle, after which, among others Artur Jędrzejczyk (after the second yellow), who was already on the bench, was punished by a red card, one of the leaders of the Warsaw team. Ultimately, however, Legia brought a 2-0 win to the very end.

Legia in the quarter -finals of the League of Conference will play with London Chelsea.

Lech Poznań with the best history among PKO BP Ekstraklasa clubs

It is worth noting that when looking cross -section at the performances of Polish bands in the conference league (formerly Europe), i.e. the current campaign, Lech Poznań players did the best. In the 2022/23 season, Kolejorz reached the quarter -finals of the competition, ultimately losing only to Fiorentina. The team from Serie A won in Poznań as much as 4: 1, but in the rematch Lech was able to bite down, winning in Florence 3: 2.

Legia players also have promotion to the play-off phase in the conference league. In Warsaw, in the previous season (i.e. 2023/24), however, they dropped out on the first attempt, after group competitions. It turned out better than Legia … how different, Norwegian Molde FK. The Warsaw team in Norway lost a minimum of 2: 3 (exactly the same result as this season), and in the rematch it ended with a sad 0: 3.
