I will talk to the Minister of Finance – announced the Minister of Agriculture, Stefan Krajewski, on Radio Zet, when asked about the possibility of equalizing the lowest pension from KRUS with the lowest pension from ZUS. The difference is approximately PLN 100.

The Lublin Chamber of Agriculture appeals to return after eight years to the principle according to which the lowest pension from the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) will be equal to the minimum pension received by beneficiaries of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). The basic pension from KRUS is PLN 1,691.02, and from ZUS – PLN 1,878.91 gross. This means over PLN 100 difference. The organization indicates that farmers are discriminated against other beneficiaries.

Will farmers’ and employees’ pensions be equalized?

This issue was raised in today’s interview given to Radio Zet by the Minister of Agriculture, Stefan Krajewski. – I will be talking to the Minister of Finance and my colleagues from the government – said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture in the online part of the program “Guest of Radio ZET” when asked about the possibility of equalizing the lowest pension from KRUS with the lowest pension from ZUS.

There has been a discussion about KRUS for years (…) There is agreement on the changes – PLN 100 is not such an amount today that it could overturn the entire budget – he added.

For years, the basic agricultural pension was equal to the lowest employee pension. Changes in this respect took place in March 2017, when the amounts of the above-mentioned benefits differed.

If the basic pension was equal to the lowest occupational pension, the assessment rate for each part of the benefit would be higher. To this day, the state of inequality persists, putting farmers at a disadvantage. As informed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański, the condition of the economy of our homeland is good. Inflation is low, NBP interest rates are decreasing, unemployment remains low, and the entire country is developing wonderfully – indicates the Lublin Chamber of Agriculture in a statement quoted by Money.pl.
