Here is the new Polish national team in volleyball! There are considerable changes after the games

In 2024, the Polish volleyball team for the first time since the Beijing Games (2008) had the opportunity to take part in the Olympic tournament. Polish women presented themselves quite well, ultimately reaching the quarter -finals of the event. In addition, it is worth noting that last time Polish women have a second time in a row they stood on the podium of the League of Nations. In the team under the baton of coach Stefano Laviarni there is a constant progress, so with hopes you can look at the present and future in the female edition.

And it was the future of the Italian selector, focusing on the next representatives – when the appointments for the upcoming staff season. In the team, as previously announced, there is no former captain Joanna Wołosz (ended her career in the national team), but also Maria Stenzel, Monika Fedusio, Klaudia Alagierska and Zuzanna Górecka.

– Some players did not report their readiness to play in the team, some cannot be available for health reasons, others due to personal matters and choices. I take care of the privacy of each of them and the exclusive conversation that I had with them. I respect their decisions, and at the same time I think that similar respect is due to girls who were selected, who were ready and motivated to take part in this year’s project. You should talk about them. I can only point out that the beginning of the new cycle begins now, and in the future I will individually consider each case and the motivations of those girls who are absent – admitted the national team coach.

On the side of the “new” faces, although some names have already appeared in wide compositions in the past, and even included field episodes, the national team included, among others Julia Szczurowska, Natalia Murek, Julia Orzoł, Dominika Pierzchała and Wiktoria Szewczyk. Certainly the 2025 season will be the one in which at the beginning of the four -year Olympic cycle, the Lavarini coach can personally experiment.

– This year is the first step of the new cycle. Some players have shown that they can “work” while working with more experienced friends from the national team or “tasteing” of international professions. It is important that we invest time and work in the assessment and development of more competitors that can help our representation achieve the best results in the coming years – added Italy.
