PlusLiga: Marcin Janusz leaves Zaksa. Loud transfer movement
Every day Janusz defended the colors of the club from Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Together with Zaksa, the playmaker reached, among others Two gold medals of the Champions League (2022 and 2023), Polish championship (2022) or two Tauron Polish Cups (2022 and 2023). Janusz was also the captain of the band, when he experienced a very difficult period in the 2023/24 campaign – in the absence of the injured Aleksander Śliwka. The situation was similar in the face of Bartosz Kurek’s injury in the next season. This only shows how important Janusz, who in Kędzierzyn-Koźle was very sporting.
– ZAKSA played a key role in my career. Earlier, playing in Gdańsk, I showed that I was ready to fight for the highest goals, but it was in Kędzierzyn-Koźle that I got a chance to try my hand at the highest level. The club believed in me, trusted me, and I tried to repay you all these years. There is nothing to hide, the game in Zaksa was my pass to the Polish national team. I am incredibly happy that I had the opportunity to perform in this club and developed not only as a player, but also as a man. I hope that in the future I will be as lucky as here. The decision to leave was difficult, because during these four years I got a lot not only with the city and the club, but above all with the people I met here-the playmakers said at the end of his path in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
Where will the playmaker of the Polish national team land? According to speculation, which most often … translate into reality, Janusz’s new club will be Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. A similar direction from Kędzierzyn-Koźle in Podkarpackie is to take a very experienced, great libero, Erik Shoji.
Asseco Resovia, having Janusz in the composition – after a forced break from representation, in favor of his health – will certainly be very important in the game for high goals, whether in the country or international arena.
