On Friday (i.e. May 23) the first match of the 2025 Polish volleyball team took place. Polish women won in Koszalin 3: 1 with Bulgarians, and the heroine was Martyna Czyrniańska.
The quarter -finals of last year’s Olympic Tournament in Paris began with the resulting deficit, but they were able to control their emotions quite quickly and return to the right path. The Polish women lost to Bulgarians 18:25, and then to their favor resolved the next three sets, 25:13, 25:18 and 25:18 in turn.

Coach Stefano Lavarini focused on the following set for the first meeting: Agnieszka Korneluk and Weronika Centka-Tetianiec in the middle, Julita Piasecka and Martyna Czyrniańska at the party, Malwina Smarzek at the attack, playing is Alicja Grabka and Libero Aleksandra Szczytłowska. A plus for winning with Bulgarians, you can save Czyrniańska. The host played at the distance of the entire meeting. The Polish woman scored the most, as many as 21 points in a four -hundred match. Czyrniańska accepted the most balls on the Polish side (28 with 61 percent efficiency), and she attacked the most (30 times with 63 % efficiency), being a definite leader of the team.
Korneluk’s performance must also be appreciated. The middle and captain of the team scored 13 points, showing off the effective block four times.
It is worth adding that coach Lavarini did not set, among others At Magdalena Stysiak (she entered during the match) or Martyna Łukasik (did not appear on the pitch) in the starting composition. However, Polish women in Koszalin will play two more matches, so there will certainly be an opportunity to see the majority – be all present at the grouping.
On Saturday, Polish women will play with the Swedes (19:00), and on Sunday with the French (18:30), to close the tournament for the Cup of President Koszalin.
