He went to clean the beach. The ghost net hid a great treasure

The beaches by the Polish seaside not only delight with their beauty, but are also rich in many treasures washed ashore with the waves. One of them was found by a traveler known to many people, who usually travels around the country with a dog, a goose and a duck.

An interesting discovery on a Polish beach

The case concerns Internet creator Dariusz Brzeski. The man is known for his travels with the goose Sunny, the duck Wirk and the dog Kundelinio. It was with them that he went to the beach on one of the August days. He shared his account of the trip on social media. It turned out that the man decided to do something good for the environment and clean up part of the coast. What he discovered during this time surprised him greatly. It also caught the attention of the portal gdansk.tvp.pl.

Beach cleaning took place on Hel Peninsula. Mr. Dariusz came across quite a large so-called a ghost net that he dragged along the sand behind him. He removed the nets so that the sea would not take them away again and they would not pose a threat to the animals. There he found, among others: sticks. Although the net was full of harmful garbage, it also concealed what many tourists dream of – a large piece of amber weighing approximately half a kilogram.

This amber delights and is intended to educate

The amber find from the Baltic Sea can be seen in a video published online – it shimmers with various shades of orange and looks like a solid, heavy specimen. Eventually it was removed from the network and well secured. “An amazing and unique gift of the sea. Amber that has the imprint of the bark of a tree, the arc of which is also imprinted in it” – we read on the Instagram profile @trees.of.resistance

Mr. Dariusz reports that he wants the amber, along with parts cut out from the ghost net in which it is stuck, to be used in his educational meetings as an example of the value of nature and its gifts. These are not only supposed to look nice, but also remind us of the need to clean beaches and emphasize the proximity of the sea.
