Results of the ski jumping competition in Lahti. Prevc disqualified

Everyone expected that it was in Lahti that Domen Prevc would win the general classification of the World Cup and lift the Crystal Ball. The Slovenian only had to finish higher than seventh to be able to celebrate success without worrying about his rivals.

The 26-year-old actually won the competition, jumping 129 meters. However, immediately after the competition it was announced that the competitor was disqualified due to his illegal suit. Ultimately, Philipp Raimund from Germany took first place (122.5 m), Austrian Daniel Tschofenig (124.5 m) was second, and the podium was closed by Bulgarian Wladimir Zografski (124.5 m).

This did not prevent the Slovenian from winning. None of the rivals took advantage of the leader’s problems and caught up with him in points. This means that Domen Prevc will receive the Crystal Ball of the World Cup.
