He was looking for a “treasure”, he made a shocking discovery in the forest. Soldiers were called

A resident of the Lublin region walked around the forest with a metal detector. He came across a dangerous find. Soon the Siennica Różana municipality was hit by soldiers.
“Treasurer” – a resident of the Krasnystaw commune – on Thursday afternoon he walked around the forest area in the commune Różana siennica, holding a metal detector in her hands. The 47-year-old probably hoped that he would discover something valuable underground, but his search ended in the call of the services.
The officers of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Krasnystaw, called to the site, appeared on the spot immediately. This is because the find was potentially dangerous to health and maybe even life.
Krasnystaw in the Lublin region. “Treasurer” made a dangerous discovery in the forest. Military was called
What did the 47-year-old see the detector display? A familiar -looking object that was – as it turned out after digging it – very rude.
“This is another case when an unexploded bomb was found in the Krasnostaw poviat. Residents find this type of dangerous items during field work or during their stay in the forest. Most often they come from the time of the Second World War” – explains in the communiqué a police press officer, younger aspirant Anna Chuszcza.
She added that “unexploded bubble partly protruded to the surface of the earth. A sapper patrol was notified, and until they arrived they secured the uniform.”
A shocking find in the Lublin region. The police call
It is also worth praising the attitude of a commune resident who did not underestimate the matter, but notified uniformed about everything, which is worth imitating. The representative of the KPP reminds that in such situations it is not allowed to transfer the found weapon. The officers urge not to dig, do not cut, do not cut (for example with an angle grinder) and not set fire to what can end tragically. Unexput, despite the passage of about 80 years after their use, still retains their chemical properties, so they can explode at any time.
That is why it is so important that they are secured by specialists – e.g. sappers, as in this case, who usually take unexploded bombs to the military area and there – in appropriate, controlled conditions, away from animals, people or buildings – neutralize.
