He shined at the games, now he’s taking a dig at the relationship. “I’m sure they did it out of spite”

Arkadiusz Kułynycz showed himself from a good side during the Olympic Games. The only representative of Poland in Greco-Roman wrestling fought for a medal until the very end. He lost the final repechage fight for bronze to the decorated representative of Ukraine, Zhan Beleniuk. He was eventually classified in fifth place. His actions must be constantly talked about, among other things, because of the words he said after the start.

Arkadiusz Kułynycz launches another attack on activists

The competitor from Miastko attacked the Polish Wrestling Association activists. Kułynycz pointed out that he could not take a sparring partner with him, because the federation’s leaders preferred to take accompanying persons. The head of the association, Andrzej Supron, dismissed the allegations, “reflecting the ball”. The famous wrestler stated that the athlete could have warmed up with competitors of a different style. In a statement, the PZZ emphasized the financial support that the 31-year-old received over the years.

Kułynycz, however, does not stop at one statement. He does not want to let the matter be swept under the carpet, although he does not hide the fact that he is still reeling from the Olympic tournament. He did not withdraw his words, maintaining the accusations against the authorities. In an interview with TVP Sport, he stated that Ryszard Wolny (vice president) and Andrzej Supron (president) hold a grudge against him, and the lack of a sparring partner was deliberately planned.

“I’m sure they did it out of spite. They were never my fans. I competed with Mr. Wolny’s son many times when he was the coach of the national team and I was the one who came out victorious,” said the wrestler. “I asked for the best possible training conditions. Unfortunately, the presidents did not allow it,” he added.

Arkadiusz Kułynycz is a multiple Polish wrestling champion. He can also boast a medal from the European Games 2019 and the World Championships 2021. He is a representative of the Olimpijczyk Radom club.
