He doesn’t reveal secret places, but helps find mushrooms. The new application has launched

It will not be an exaggeration to say that mushroom picking is a “national sport” in Poland. The passion for searching and collecting mushrooms in our country is very high, this hobby is very popular. We have good news for all mushroom pickers. With the first reports of chanterelles and boletes in the forests, a tool appeared that can make planning trips easier.

An application for mushroom pickers has been created

The “Mushroom Season” application, created with mushroom pickers in mind, has been added to the Google Play store. Its users can add information about their finds and observe the map of mushroom activity created by other lovers of forest collections.

However, the creators of the app emphasize that it is not about revealing exact locations. The application shows where mushrooms appear, but protects private places, which are a closely guarded secret for many mushroom pickers.

The mushroom season started earlier than usual

The new tool appears at a time when many Poles are starting to ask themselves whether it is worth going to the forest after the recent rainfall.

According to reports from mushroom pickers and information published by the portal gryzy.pl, the first larger concentrations of chanterelles can already be found in many regions of the country. The chanterelle, also called the chanterelle, usually appears only in the second half of June. This year the season started earlier.

The first successful harvests are reported, among others, from the Łódź and Silesian voivodeships.

There are also mountain goats in the forests

This is not the only good news for mushroom picking enthusiasts. Kolar mushrooms also appear in various parts of the country.

The oak bolete mushroom was found in Masovia, the oak bolete mushroom was found near Kraków, and further species belonging to this family of mushrooms were recorded in Greater Poland and Lower Silesia.

According to mycologist Marek Snowarski, creator of the portal gryzy.pl, June is the “full mushroom spring”, one of the best times to start the season.

Technology enters the universe of mushroom pickers

The new application shows that even such a traditional hobby as mushroom picking is increasingly using modern solutions. Thanks to the activity map, users can check whether the first harvests have already appeared in their region and what species are currently found. At the same time, one of the most important rules of the mushroom picking world has been preserved – there is no need to reveal your best spots.
