Wadim Konzewicz disappeared on February 2 while returning from the National Team Group in Zakopane. The last time he contacted his family around 18:00, being at the station in Krakow, from where he planned a trip to Słupsk. From that moment he did not make contact anymore, and his phone remained inactive.

Searching and disturbing reports

Family and police immediately began to search for Wadim. The officers’ findings showed that on February 4 around 16:00 he was seen in Lębork in the area of ​​ul. Chłopska, from where he was supposed to go towards the PKP station.

He was wearing a black jacket and a navy blue vest with the 4F symbol. The police reported that a young boxer could be in a state of life threatening.

In addition, information appeared suggesting that Wadim complained of the headache from disappearance, he was distracted and his statements were inconsistent. It was possible that during the camp he could have an injury that influenced his behavior. It was feared that he could have memory loss and require immediate medical assistance.

On February 6, Wadima’s family informed about finding him.

Boxer’s brother, Błażej Konzewicz, said: “The brother was found. He is healthy, but he has delicate memory atrophy, his head hurts. It is known, he is dream and hungry, but there is nothing to say here, because it is so many days without food and drink. We’re going to the hospital with him. “

Sister Wadima, Julia, also confirmed this information on Facebook, thanking everyone involved in the search.

The coach of the national team, Grzegorz Proksa, in an interview with the media mentioned that Wadim had some personal problems, but did not report any health ailments during the grouping. He also emphasized that the player did not participate in sparrings, but only in technical exercises, which excluded the possibility of injury during training.
