He caught a huge pike. A new record was set, that’s what he measured

The lucky person who made fishing history is Timothy Hicks – a resident of Post Falls.

In mid-June this year, the enthusiast took his fishing rod with him and went to Lake Pend Oreille (to fish in this reservoir, he had to obtain permission from the state government agency – Idaho Fish and Game).

Once he sat down on the shore, he didn’t have to wait long – finally, the mighty Esox lucius (a fish from the pike family – Esocidae) took the bait on his hook.

How long was the huge specimen? 123.5 centimeters – reported the local Idaho News website.

The record has already been officially confirmed.

No angler has been able to beat them for years
