Has gasoline only struggled for a moment? Experts predict the “Trump effect”

Donald Trump, tankowanie

The beginning of April brought the first increase in gasoline prices from January at stations. Experts, however, predict that due to Donald Trump, the trade war, they may be incidental.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump announced a new customs policy. It assumes, among others Introduction of a minimum customs rate for all countries of the world in the amount of 10 percent. It is also to be introduced, among others Additional 20 percent duties on products from the European Union and 34 percent for goods from China.

The trade war caused a discount

As experts, E-Petrol.pl, Dr. Jakub Bogucki and Grzegorz Maziak, unleashed by the American president, translates into a strong discount on the oil market. Already during the Thursday session for Brent oil, the discount was nearly $ 5, and the continuation of similar changes may occur as retaliatory actions are introduced by other economies.

The new duties imposed by the United States on almost all trade partners translated into a jumping decline in oil ratings and strengthened the zloty in relation to the dollar. Thanks to this, the first increase in gasoline prices at stations from January can only have an incidental character -E-TROL.pl analysts write.

In the past week, the popular “95” went down by 4 grosze to the level of 5.98 PLN/l. At the end of March, the average price of diesel, which, like a week, costs PLN 6.08/l. The fourth week in a row is cheaper, but autogas, which after a two -year reduction costs PLN 3.11/l. E-Petrol.pl analysts point out that this is the lowest price of this fuel since November last year.

Recent events also give a chance to reverse the upward trends in Poland who has been ongoing on the wholesale fuel market in Poland. – Before the weekend in the refineries, we saw a solid discount, and the e-petrol.pl forecasts indicate further reductions – Experts write.

Currently, a cubic meter of 95-octane gasoline is valued at PLN 4,684.80 and is PLN 16.40 cheaper than a week ago. Over the week, diesel caught 39.20 and currently costs PLN 4,731.00/cubic meter.

How much will we pay for fuel next week?

What prices can drivers expect at the coming week at the stations? According to experts, we can deal with price stabilization, with a chance for further decreases in the cost of refueling autogas. The expected price ranges for individual fuel species look as follows:

  • 5.96-6.07 PLN/l for 95-octane gasoline,

  • 6.04-6.15 PLN/l for diesel,

  • 3.06-31.12 PLN/l for autogas.
